Sparkling yellow, brimming with optimism
A sign of positivity and intellect
Energy, creativity, and inspiration
Captivating the audience
With practicality and charm
Yet toeing the line
With disguised deception and hidden egos
As the yellow-bellied, step back in fear
Seeing a honey-drunk bumblebee
Making the sunny sunflower its bed
A trigger of unease and overthought
Afraid of the sting that may never come!

Yellow is one of my favourite colours. When I think of the colour what instantly comes to mind is the traffic light. A signal to pause and not hurry, not just on the roads, but in life as well.
